Mae Relian

Mae Relian is the capital city of Voltana.

The Maer's Tower is the capitol building of Mae Relian. It is the home and building of operation for the Duchess of Voltana. The tower itself is massive, and stretches high into the sky.

The Upper Court is the nicest district in Mae Relian. This is where the majority of the nobility live. There are many boutiques and artisan shops, as well as many libraries and museums.

The Lower Court is where the majority of Mae Relian's citizens live. Artisans, traders, and people with crafts live here, and as such there are many shops and professionals here.

The Whitefire Lighthouse is a beacon that stays contantly lit, guiding ships to the Mae Relian port safely. The fire in the lighthouse burns pure white, and it is said that it was a gift to the beautiful city from the goddess Talena herself.

The Violet Harbour is the main port and harbour for the city. It is used mostly for trading vessels, though there are many docks dedicated to the Mae Relian navy. There are hundreds of inns and taverns and a thriving market place here. Most of the people that live near the harbour are sailors and traders.

Farcity is the poor district of Mae Relian. It is where the poorer common folk live.

The Ash District is the artisans district of the city. It is where the majority of the blacksmiths, metallurgists, and alchemists.

The Fallen Path was originally the main exit of the city, before seismic activity destroyed the northern portion of the God's Road. Now the Fallen Path is abandoned, populated by beggars and thieves and those with no where else to go.

Ellidar's Vineyard is a large manor-like estate on the edge of town. An old rich, noble family, the Ellidar's, live here and produce some of the world's best wine.

Queen Ameranth’s Bridge, casually known as the Queen’s Bridge, is the main entrance into the city of Mae Relian. The bridge is wide enough for 5 carriages to ride side-by-side, with room to spare. The end of the bridge splits into two, one path leading to the Ash District and the rest of the main city, with the other leading to the Upper Court, with several guards standing watch.

Outcity is the large expanse of townships that are outside the city limits of Mae Relian. Dotted with many taverns, inns and stables, the area is perfect for traveler’s and merchants that aren’t permanent residents of the city proper. There are also a few apple orchards dotted around Outcity.
