Cid explained quickly gave a run down of what happened in
Tol'Enay.
Cid explains that he arrived a few weeks ago along with
Laef.
Laef went to go and see if she could find the entrance to
Dwarfheim.
Cid trained with Langston, learning more about Ki.

The Traveler had some a crystal called
aetherite that let him controls those around him.
The Traveler and the monks of Tol'Delaar invaded Tol'Enay.
Langston was tricked into touching the stone, and then helped subdue Cid who was also touched.
Anyone who was touched by the stone became permanently under the Traveler's control.
The Traveler only appeared to be able to directly control 2 people at a time, so Cid and Langston were simply waiting.
Ekhart, Revana, Sanglant, and Remy decided to go and stop the Traveler and free the people of Tol'Enay.
Sneaking to the top floor, the party got the jump on the Traveler.
The party secured the aetherite, freeing the hold it had on everyone.

Sanglant and Revana left to the brewery to free the captured Tol'Enayan monks.
Ekhart and Cid went to investigate the aetherite in closer detail.
Together, they discovered that the aetherite appeared to be hardened, physical magical energy.
Cid theorized that it may have been made from a mithril alloy.
While they were working, Ekhart told Cid the nature of his birth.
Cid, all things considered, took it very well.
Not liking that his desire to go to the Faerealm was some sort of per-ordained machination, Cid rejected his life's dream of going to the Faerelam.
Cid suggested that Ekhart use the aetherite to seal the Void, rather than himself.
Ekhart could cast the spell that Cid was working on, and Cid wouldn't unintentionally get close to the Faerealm.
When Revana and Sanglant returned, Sang and Langston left to work through Sang's blockage.
Langston told Sang the story of Tol'Enay's founder; Lenna.
Lenna was the daughter of a brewer, in a small nowhere village.
When Lenna was still young, her father was killed and her mother was taken captive, never to be seen again.
Lenna vowed to make sure what happened to her would never happen to anyone again.
She traveled the world, in hopes of becoming stronger.
Lenna found herself in a forest of elves, where she saved them from an evil spirit; thereby learning that she can make the world better by changing it.
Later, Lenna came upon a city made of gold, where she learned to lie in order to make the world better.
Langston's point being that there are always two options:
Change your world, or
Change yourself.
Sanglant, guided by Langston, again tried to enter the Faerealm.
This time, when Sang reached the wall, Langston told him: change your world or change yourself.
Sang opted to change himself, turning himself into water so that could fit through the stone.
Sang learned how to modify his spirit in the Faerealm!
