Evan Waybrush

Evan Waybrush, commonly known as Brother Waybrush, was a priest with the Church tasked to execute Cidmuir's research. He went mad, consumed a dangerous magical stone, and was eventually killed by the party.

He had a journal, which he wrote in fairly frequently.

Brother Waybrush was tasked by Cardinal Redrose to travel to Riverpond, find Old King's Keep, and use Cidmuir's research notes to attempt to “close” the Faerealm. The research notes given to him were sabotaged by Cidmuir, meaning it would be impossible for him to succeed.

Already mentally unstable, the failure caused Brother Waybrush to descend further into madness. Something compelled him to feed one of the magic stones to a stray dog, and then later he ate one himself. This caused him to turn into a horrible magma monster.

After this, Brother Waybrush started jamming inert “suggestion” crystals into his prisoner's foreheads, causing them to obey him.

Brother Waybrush was discovered by the party trying to turn Tavian Larg into another of his slaves. The party stopped the process and killed Brother Waybrush.
